Leeds Music Scene Imp Futuresound Review

"Finally, Imp round up the night with a performance that, although patchy in places, shows a lot of promise for the young band. After a slow start, the set affected by technical issues and an instrumental opening, there are signs of just how good this band could be. The Ramone-alike frontman has a brilliantly intriguing voice and an energetic performance that is perhaps restricted by his seated keys duties. Despite a slightly fragmented performance, there are some great choruses and lines littered throughout their tunes. With just a little more gloss to their live performance, this band could be one to keep an eye on"

PHILOPHOBIAS LATEST COMPILATION FEATURES GARY GORY & E E VILES HERES A REVIEW

"GARY GORE & EE VILES is apparently a collaboration between Junior Swimsuit (try googling that) and Swords (not I assume the Oregon indie outfit from a few years back) - either way it's a dandy name and one worth keeping. Ultimately, I have no idea who they actually are and the PR offers little else. What is apparent is that this probable studio project mingles electronica and guitars into blindingly opposite ends of the prog spectrum. You get snappy, simple riffs and a lumbering beat, dollops of effects and nice digital pop splashes – it’s a bit out there, yet that's to be welcomed as the track impresses with little effort"
